Volcano Hike Escanfraga Mountain

We will start your adventure by picking you up from your accommodation, at the agreed time, to head towards the north of the island, where the starting point of this route is located.

We will start the hike at the base of the volcano, following an easy path, used in the past by farmers with their camels. As we advance along the path that crosses the caldera, we will come across a slightly steep stretch that will take us to the summit of the Montaña Escanfraga volcano, the highest volcano on Fuerteventura, with an imposing height of 533 metres.

Get ready to feel the adrenaline rush on the ascent and the satisfaction of reaching the summit, where you will feel as if you are touching the sky.

From the summit, an amazing natural spectacle awaits you: breathtaking panoramic views of the entire north of Fuerteventura will stretch out before your eyes, captivating you with its wild beauty.

Montaña Escanfraga, which for many years was the best vantage point for spotting ships and possible pirate attacks, offers not only an opportunity for adventure, but also a journey into the island’s geological past. This volcano, which was formed a million years ago, was witness to the volcanic activity that shaped Fuerteventura, and on its slopes there are traces of the agricultural activity that developed on its fertile land thanks to the climatic conditions of the crater.
