Probably one of the best sea kayaking trips you can enjoy in Spain and the Canary Islands. A journey to the Lobos Island Nature Reserve that will leave you speechless and make you feel at one with your surroundings. The kayak, the ‘bicycle of the sea’, offers sensations that no other boat can match. Physical activity, silence – just you and the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. A feeling of absolute freedom.
During the 4.5 km journey, you’ll enjoy spectacular turquoise waters, home to turtles and stingrays, which, with a bit of luck, we might spot on the sandy seabed or at the surface. Cory’s shearwaters and seagulls flying overhead. Volcanic landscapes. Stunning views of the Corralejo Dunes Natural Park. No engines. No noise. No crowds. Just you, your paddling rhythm and the ocean. A unique and unforgettable experience. Forget the overcrowded boat trips and join us!
Upon reaching the island, you’ll find stunning reefs in Caribbean-like waters, accessible only by the shallow draught of a kayak.
Once there, a guided tour of the most interesting areas in the south of the island. Our main guide, Jorge, is an Environmental Technician and will teach you and explain everything you need to know about the island’s geology, fauna and flora.
Afterwards, snorkelling in turquoise lagoons. One of the best spots in the whole of the Canary Islands for this activity.
Before snorkelling, the guide will explain the different marine species you will see, using a guide with images of the most representative ones.
Next, a light lunch and a return trip by kayak to Corralejo.
Adventure and environmentally friendly sport in a natural park that you will likely remember forever, and which we are sure will be one of the highlights of your stay in Fuerteventura.
Our manager holds a Level 2 Sports Instructor qualification from the RFEP, a qualification essential for any legally registered kayaking centre in Spain, which guarantees that our customers are covered by insurance. Any other lower or different qualification does not guarantee insurance cover. We are the only centre in Fuerteventura whose manager holds this qualification.
